1 Philippians 1:9-11 "Being Filled With the Fruit of Righteousness"

In this message Fred Malone considers two questions: What is the fruit of righteousness and How is it cultivated? Pursuing the fruit of righteousness (as best described in Galations 5) should be the great goal of our earthly life.

Spiritual Depression Chapter 14 "Weary in Well Doing"

Have you grown weary in well doing? Or may we word it like this: have you grown used to the Christian life and find it mundane? Was there a time in your Christian life that was more exciting than it is now? This is the topic of chapter 14. Martin Lloyd Jones decribes three conditions which may lead someone to become weary in well doing and he give us ways to overcome this weariness.

2 Samuel 16

David leaves the city of Jerusalem with faithful followers believing if God wills he would return on day. David knew he deserved nothing from God, humbly trusting Him saying:"let Him do to me as seems good to Him." In chapter 16 are more portraits of people surrounging both David and Absalom. We learn many lessons from each of these men.

Philippians 1:9-11 "The Second Coming of Christ Part II"

In this second installment, Dr. Fred Malone further looks into the "last day." We are taught to consider: if we were to die where would we go? Heaven or Hell? What is happening to the souls who die before the last day? What are the Christians doing in heaven until that last day? What should Christians lives be like each day as we ponder these questions?

Spiritual Depression Chapter 13 "False Teaching"

In this chapter Martin Lloyd Jones explores the connection between becoming involved with false teaching and a person's spiritual well being. We have to always be on our guard, for God says in Galatians 1:9: "...if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be accursed!" In this chapter we are given nine tests to discern whether a teaching we have heard is false, and we are encouraged to have our boast in Christ alone.

2 Samuel 15

Absalom returns to David after a two year exile for killing his half brother. Absalom plans to overthrow David's throne. David begins to feel the consequences of his terrible sins. God begins to sift David and Absalom, and we are taught these many thousands of years hence, through God's testing of these two men's faith and providence.

Philippians 1:1-9 "The Second Coming of Christ Part I"

There are many references in the scriptures concerning the last day where we are encouraged to live a holy life and to please God; for one day we will stand before Him. Fred Malone concludes his study of Paul's prayer to the Philippians with two messages focusing on this last day of judgment and the role it plays in the Christians life.

Spiritual Depression Chapter 12 "The Spirit of Bondage"

In this chapter we are reminded of the verses in Romans 8:15-17 where it says, "For ye have not recieved the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have recieved the Spirit of adoption whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God. And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with Him, that we may be also glorified together." After viewing all the blessings in this verse we need to ask ourselves: what reason do we have to be depressed?

Spiritual Depression 11 "Looking at the Waves"

In this lesson we learn more about how faith dispels the dark doubts of depression. We find ourselves studying another storm, but the differences in the two accounts allow us to glean, with Lloyd-Jones' aid, yet more principles on which our faith may gain strength.

Philippians 1:9-11 "True Knowledge of God and Discernment"

In this message Pastor Fred Malone speaks of how love can abound through the true knowledge of God. This is beyond our head knowledge and is found in Jesus Christ. He goes on to speak of how a Christian will gain discernment and right judgment through this true knowledge. We are able to "approve things that are excellent."

Philippians 1:9-11 "Abounding in Love Yet More and More"

What is your greatest goal? What motivates you? If you had a chance to build a life just like you want it, what would it look like? Whatever your goal, whatever your motivator--these choices will govern you. A Christians goal should be to glorify God. Our great vision should be "to abound in love yet more and more." This message is a good reminder of the supreme price paid by Jesus Christ and of the chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. We are bought with a price. May we learn to live like we believe this.
