2 Samuel 14-15:14

In this message Fred Malone reviews David's past sins and David's neglect of his children and how these affected David's later life. David reaped what he sewed. What can we learn from David's sinful nature and the consequences: in this case the betrayal of his son Absalom.

Spiritual Depression 10 "Where is Your Faith?"

This is a chapter which discusses the roll of faith in conquering our depression. We must have faith in our trials and difficulties even when we think that God is asleep. God permits and allows trials , sufferings and difficulties to enter into our lives. We must be prepared to have faith in these persecutions. So in this message Mitch Axsom explores some questions concerning faith: What is the nature of faith? Where is our faith? What are we going to do with our faith?

Philippians 1:1-8 "Living Joyfully in Christ"

"For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus." Does this bring you joy? This message causes us to think of the source of our joy: Jesus Christ--what He has done, what He is doing, and what He shall do. We are called to remember our salvation which is complete, and our sanctification which is gradual and growing. We are called to remember that we are not what we were but we are also not what we will be.

101 Ephesians 6:23-24 "Incorruptible Love"

This message is the last message for this series in Ephesians and so the closing words of Paul are the focus; particularly: "Grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ with incorruptible love." How do we love with a love incorruptible? How can we live like this?

Spiritual Depression 09 "Labourers in the Vineyard"

A short time is spent on reviewing the last lesson on feelings and some suggestions on how to manage them. The goal isn't feeling happy but to rejoice in the Lord. The focus then changes to those labourers who are saved in the "first hours" and the errors and struggles that might arise for these believers.

2 Samuel 13

Here in this chapter we see the sins of Amnon and his death due to the revenge of Absolom. We are reminded that the behaviors of the parent will affect their children's behaviors. We need to learn how parents need to instruct their children in God's word.

100 Ephesians 6:19-20 "A Request for Prayer"

Paul explains that we are in a spiritual warfare as Christains. We will rest from this battle one day, but not yet, not yet. Until we die we fight the good fight of faith. So we need to put on the full armor of God. We need communion with God in prayer to whistper in our ear as a commander. In this message Fred Malone explores the importance of asking others to pray for us so that we can have the spiritual strength to live boldly before men for the glory of Christ and the importance of our prayer life for others.

Spiritual Depression 08 "Feelings"

How do we handle our feelings? What emphasis should we place in them? We all have feelings. God created man to have them, but we shouldn't try to stir them up for it turns our eyes from Christ and focuses our attention inward. In this message Mitch Axsom, with the use of the book by Martin Lloyd Jones: Spiritual Depression, focuses on the place of feelings in the Christian life.
